Publication: Re-Designing the Dining Experience: Harpooning Meatballs in the Name of Co-Creation
A class-wide project in the Experience Design course, which concluded in a experimental dinner experience for children cooked by chefs from I’m A Kombo. The dinner experience challenged social norms of eating by experimenting with new way the guests can interact with each other and also interact with their food.
A completely circular table, with small holes that the children could pop out of, was created and allowed two settings: above the table, a formal setting for fine dining and below the table allowing the children to play and violate normal dinner-table manners.
